Harm Redux was founded by long time harm reduction advocate Maggie Mayhem. In 2003 Maggie got involved in the harm reduction movement as a test counselor at a free and anonymous HIV testing clinic in Santa Cruz. Since then she has worked as a clinic coordinator and HIV Senior Specialist and has traveled the world promoting HIV & Hep C prevention, Harm Reduction, Sex Worker Rights, Overdose Prevention, and Drug User Advocacy. She is based in San Francisco, CA where she works as a full spectrum doula and contributes to a number of local projects regarding homelessness, outreach, and more.
